Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Ocarina of Time
After purchasing the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), I didn't buy a newer system until the Nintendo 64 came out. There were two primary reasons I wanted the N64. First, my sister-in-law and her family had purchased it and got our family hooked on the Mario Kart game. Second, I was dying to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I loved the original NES Zelda game, and couldn't wait to see Link come alive in a more realistic, 3 dimensional environment. Well, I wasn't disappointed. With the exception of a few quirky game control and camera movements, all the elements of the original game were there, plus many, many more. Link had a much more rich environment to explore, nastier monsters to destroy, more puzzles to solve, and an amazing story line to live. Young Link's world is being overrun with evil and Princess Zelda sends him on a quest to fight it. But the boy Link cannot do it all at his age. He must jump into a bleak future where evil has conquered almost all of Hyrule, and, as a Teenager, Link must fight larger and deadlier foe. With the ability to jump back and forth in time, the game is given a huge facelift from the earlier games. As one of my favorite games, I find myself coming back to play Ocarina of Time many times.
