Rock Band 3

Rock Band 3

First there was Guitar Hero. My son bought this one, and I got hooked. We bought other versions of this game, then added Rock Band 2, since we discovered that version 1 wouldn't work with our Guitar Hero guitars and drum kit. Eventually we settled on Rock Band 3 as the game we played the most. The reason we chose this one is that it offered the most instrumental options with the added keyboard, and because of the huge selection of downloadable content. To date, we've nearly filled our 2 Gig SD card with music for Rock Band 3. There is something quite enjoyable about playing a game designed to mimic playing musical instruments to some of your favorite songs. And, even though my son plays guitar for real, he still enjoys playing Rock Band. This is a really fun game to play when you have friends or guests over. I used to do a lot of karaoke, but Rock Band is much more enjoyable, and you can still sing along, with or without the microphone. And if I find I have a half an hour or so to kill, that's roughly 5 or 6 songs on Rock Band. Out of all the video games we own, Rock Band 3 has to have the greatest amount of hours at being played. If you've scoffed at trying it, you don't know what you're missing.
